”الموارد الصحية والنساء: مفاهيم واحتياجات وتحديات” هو تقرير ورشة العمل التشاورية الأولى الذي تنشره ورشة الموارد العربية للرعاية الصحية وتنمية المجتمع، التي عقدت في بلاترس، قبرص، في الفترة من 20-24 سبتمبر، 1999، وعمل من خلالها المشاركون على صياغة رؤية مشتركة حول وضع الموارد الصحية للنساء في الحاضر والمستقبل، وبالأخص المشاكل الصحية العامة التي تواجهها النساء في البلاد النامية، ومن ثم خلق الموارد الصحية القادرة على مواجهة تلك التحديات. يتضمن الكتيب الأوراق التي ألقيت أثناء الورشة، بالإضافة إلى مجموعات العمل، والقضايا ذات الأهمية من ختان وعنف أسري وجرائم القتل في القرى، وحالات الاضطهاد الديني للنساء، وغير ذلك، في مختلف البلاد مثل لبنان وتونس وسوريا وفلسطين والأردن ومصر والسودان. يُختتم الكتاب بعشرات الملاحق التي تتضمن الإحصائيات ذات الصلة بالموضوع، مثل قوائم المشتركين والكراسات والكتب والأفلام، والإحصائيات والاستبيانات التي نتجت عن ورش العمل.Health Resources and Women: Concepts, Needs and Challenges is a report on the regional workshop organised by The Arab Resource Collective, ARC held in Platres, Cyprus from 20th-24th September, 1999. Through the collective effort of participants from diverse backgrounds, the conference aimed at visualising the present and future situation of women’s health resources, especially in light of the general health problems faced by women in developing countries. It aimed at the creation of health resources capable of meeting these problems. The booklet includes some of the papers presented at the conference, and documents the various workshops held by the workgroups during the conference and after. It also describes besetting health preoccupations such as FGM, domestic violence, village killings, and cases of religious oppression of women, etc in countries such as Lebanon, Tunisia, Syria, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt and Sudan. The book concludes with dozens of appendices presenting statistics and contact information on related matters.
