سحر الموجي أديبة وكاتبة روائية مصرية، تدرّس في كلية الآداب بجامعة القاهرة. وقد تخرجت من قسم اللغة الإنجليزية في كلية الآداب، وحصلت على الماجستير في الشعر الإنجليزي والدكتوراة في الشعر الأمريكي. و صدر لها عدة روايات، وسبق أن قدمت برنامجاً عن الأدب وعلم النفس الإجتماعي على موجة ال FM التابعة للبرنامج الأوروبي بالإذاعة المصرية، كما قدمت برنامجاً أدبياً في إحدي القنوات الفضائية. وقد نالت سحر الموجي عام 2007 الجائزة العالمية للشاعر كفافيس. وتتألف روايتها ”نون” من أربعة أجزاء، يتكون كل جزء من سبعة فصول، ويبدأ كل فصل بنص بارز من كتب الحكمة المقدسة أو الأساطير القديمة أو الأشعار اللافتة، كما تتخللها نصوص أخرى تاريخية وشعرية، بنظام هندسي صارم وبنية ثقافية شديدة الكثافة والتماسك. وتدور الرواية حول مسارات ومصائر أربعة شخصيات محورية، هم: سارة، مدرسة علم النفس، ونورا، نموذج المرأة المتحررة، ودنيا، المولودة لأب فلسطيني وأم مصرية، وأخيراً الرجل الوحيد حسام الذي يرى نفسه في مرآة صديقاته، مطحوناً بين العمل والحياة العائلية الرتيبة القاتلة، و في الخلفية توجد حتحور، ربة العشق والبهجة والموسيقي عند الفراعنة.Sahar El Mougy is an Egyptian academic, writer and novelist. After graduating from the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, she went on to receive her MA in English poetry and PhD in American poetry. She has several novels to her name, and has presented literary radio and television shows. She received the Cavafy award in 2007. The highly experimental novel Noun is comprised of four sections; each section is seven chapters long, and each chapter begins with a quote from a legendary, mythological or divine source. Additionally, allusions permeate the novel to contribute to a highly geometric and intricately weaved structure. The novel tells the story of the four friends: Sara, the psychology teacher, Noura, the prototype liberal Egyptian woman, Donia, of half-Palestinian and half-Egyptian descent, and finally, the only man there, Hossam, who sees himself in the mirror his girlfriends hold up to him as caught between soulless work and the deadly routine of married life. In the background looms Hathor, the ancient Egyptian goddess of love, joy and music.
