The Women and Memory Forum (WMF) organized a seminar to celebrate and recognize the legacy of the late Dr. Laila El Baradei. The event was held on Monday 16 June 2025, at the WMF headquarters in Cairo.

Dr. Laila El Baradei was a Professor of Public Administration at the American University in Cairo (AUC) and a prominent supporter of women and youth in Egypt with key contributions to social issues. Prof. Baradei published extensively on public administration and policies, and was the first Egyptian and Arab woman to receive the International Public Administration Award from the American Society of Public Administration in 2024. She shared her knowledge with the younger generations and touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

The WMF seminar was moderated by Prof. Hoda Elsadda with contributions from Dr. Passant Elwi and Rolane Eissa from the Policy Forum at the American University, Salma Hussein from al-Ahram Foundation, and Dr. Dina al-Khawaga, Dr. Manal al-Shahri, and Dr. Nahla Mahmoud from Cairo University.
