We are looking for an experienced and creative Communication and Outreach Officer to join our team for a full time vacancy. He/She will be responsible for developing and implementing our communication strategy & the conceptualization, design, and production of communication materials.
Duties And Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with WMF’s Executive Director to develop annual media strategic objectives.
– Implement a communications strategy for WMFManaging the content of WMF’s website and the digital library and updating them constantly and applying SEO best practices.
– Design and oversee the dissemination plan for WMF activities.
– Supervise WMF communications and branding in various online and print platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and podcast platforms.
– Ensure quality control of all information released on all online and offline platforms.
– Manage social media platforms.
– Write, produce and publish communications in Arabic & English, such as social media reports, press releases, e-newsletters, and periodic reports.
Requirements:
– A university degree in communication, marketing, public relations, media or information technologies or related fields is required.
– Professional command of Arabic and English language, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
– Good knowledge of feminist issues and gender mainstreaming.
– Experience in video and photography & computer-based programmes is desirable.
– Good knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.
– Experience in implementing communication strategies and in planning and implementing large scale communication projects or campaigns is desirable.
– Experience in internet and social media systems, applications and interactive tools and standard computer applications is required.
– Self-motivated and the ability to work independently and with a team.
– Salary based on experience.
