يأتي ”التقرير ربع السنوي الرابع حول حرية الدين والمعتقد في مصر”( أكتوبر –ديسمبر 2008) جزءاً من سلسلة تصدرها المبادرة المصرية للحقوق الشخصية لرصد وتوثيق التطورات المتصلة بحرية الدين والمعتقد في مصر في نطاق برنامج تعزيز وحماية الحق في حرية الدين والمعتقد من خلال الرصد الميداني والعمل البحثي والتدخلات القانونية وحملات الدفاع عن هذا الحق. يتناول التقرير عدداً من أهم التطورات التي شهدتها مصر في مجال حرية الدين والمعتقد خلال ثلاثة أشهر، ويرصد استمرار حالة التوتر والعنف الطائفي في كافة أنحاء البلاد. يتضمن التقرير أيضاً توثيقاً لحالات شهدتها كل من محافظات القاهرة والإسكندرية والقليوبية والشرقية وكفر الشيخ والمنيا والأقصر، بالإضافة إلى عدد من الحالات الإيجابية مثل صدور حكم قضائي في القاهرة بتمكين شاب بهائي من العودة إلى الدراسة بعد أن قامت الجامعة بفصله لعجزه عن استخراج بطاقة شخصية.The Quarterly Report on the Freedom of Religion and Creed in Egypt (October- December 2008) is one of a series of quarterly reports issued by the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights. It documents and records developments related to the freedom of religious belief and practice in Egypt in an attempt to support, encourage and protect this right through field work, research, legal intervention and campaigns. The report discusses some of the most significant developments in the freedom of religious belief and practice in Egypt, viewing a notable increase and continuation of religious violence all over the country, in Cairo, Alexandria, El Qalyoubiya, El Sharqiya, Kafr El Sheikh, El Minya and Luxor. The report also presents cases where headway has appeared, such as the case of the young Baha’i in Alexandria University who was allowed to return to his college after being dismissed for not possessing an identity card.يأتي ”التقرير ربع السنوي حول حرية الدين والمعتقد في مصر: يناير- مارس 2009” جزءاً من سلسلة تقارير ربع سنوية تصدرها المبادرة المصرية للحقوق الشخصية لرصد وتوثيق التطورات المتصلة بحرية الدين والمعتقد في مصر، في نطاق برنامج أقيم بهدف تعزيز وحماية الحق في حرية الدين والمعتقد من خلال الرصد الميداني والعمل البحثي والتدخلات القانونية وحملات المدافعة. يتناول هذا التقرير عدداّ من أهم التطورات التي شهدتها مصر في مجال حرية الدين والمعتقد خلال شهور يناير وفبراير ومارس. يرصد التقرير انخفاضاً نسبياً في حالات العنف الطائفي بين المسلمين والأقباط، مع تطور نوعي سلبي، يتمثل في العنف ضد المصريين البهائيين. كما يتطرق التقرير إلى المعاملة الرسمية التمييزية فيما يتعلق بحق الأقباط في ممارسة شعائرهم الدينية، وغير ذلك من القضايا والمؤشرات.Quarterly Report on the Freedom of Religion and Creed in Egypt: January-March 2009 is one of a series of quarterly reports issued by the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights which documents and records developments related to the freedom of religious belief and practice in Egypt in an attempt to support, encourage and protect this right through field work, research, legal intervention and campaigns. This report discusses several developments occurring in Egypt during the months January, February and March, noting a relative decrease in the incidents of religious violence between Muslims and Copts, together with the appearance of new developments in the field in the form of violence against followers of the Baha’i faith. The report also examines official discriminatory treatment of Copts in practising the rituals of their faith, as well as other issues and indications.
