The Private collection of Lili Doss includes her personal papers and photographs, as well as photographs with her family, friends, and acquaintances at different stages of her life.
Freedom is the most important thing to me! Not my independence but my freedom. Independence is not to rely on another person, but freedom is freedom... freedom of thought, freedom of movement- the feeling of not being crippled by the past and by tradition.
Lili Doss was born in Assuit on the 1st of July 1917, and completed her school education in Cairo. She attended the American Universityin Cairo, until she earned a Master’s degree in Comparative Literaturein 1981. Lili Doss founded the Women’s Association for Health Improvement, and dedicated her life to volunteering and social work towards improving public health, and towards creating a better future for Egyptian women.
