The Women and Memory Forum (WMF) organized a lecture in Cairo on fairytale studies, delivered by Dr. Jack Zipes, Professor of German Literature at the University of Minnesota, USA. The lecture was held in April 2002, and presented Dr. Zipes’s research on a new approach to studying fairytales.

Dr. Zipes is one of the world’s most prominent researchers in the field of folktale/fairytale studies. During his lecture at the WMF, he discussed the various versions of well-known fairytales, such as “Cinderella,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and “Little Red Riding Hood.”
