WMF Organizes a Panel in Cairo to Discuss A Cultural History of Cairo’s Middle Class, Sixteenth to the Eighteenth Century

The Women and Memory Forum (WMF) organized a panel discussion of In Praise of Books: A Cultural History of Cairo’s Middle Class, Sixteenth to the Eighteenth Century written by Dr. Nelly Hanna, Professor of History at the American University in Cairo (AUC), and translated into Arabic by Dr. Raouf Abbas. The discussion was held on 6 April 2004, and the panel featured the author and the translator in addition to Dr. Emad Abou Ghazi.
