A seminar on Sahar El-Mougi’s novel Noon  was held at the Women and Memory Forum.  Sahar El-Mougi and Shereen Abou el-Naga attended the seminar, which was chaired by Hala Kamal.  The first edition was published by Dar Elhilal in 2007, and the second edition will be issued by Dar El Shorouk.  El-Mougi is a Lecturer of English at Cairo University and a WMF member; she has publishd another novel, Dariya, in 1999, and a collection of short stories entitled Alihah Saghirah [Little Gods].  The seminar focused on the feminist signs in the novel and the use of mythology to narrate contemporary life.
