نظمت مؤسسة المرأة والذاكرة (WMF) عرض للفيلم التسجيلي “الإقلاع من الرمال” يوم 14 أبريل 2001 بمكتبة القاهرة الكبرى. جاء العرض ضمن فعاليات نادي سينما المرأة والذاكرة، وصاحبه نقاش مفتوح أدارته الدكتورة سهام عبد السلام الناقدة السينمائية وباحثة الأنثروبولوجيا. “الإقلاع من الرمال” من إخراج وجيه جورج وعرض لأول مرة عام 1996. خلال 60 دقيقة، يصور الفيلم حياة لطفية النادي أول امرأة مصرية تقود طائرة.

The Women and Memory Forum (WMF) organized a screening of the documentary film “Take off from the Sand” on 14 April 2001, at the Greater Cairo Library. The movie screening is part of the WMF Cinema Club, and was followed by an open discussion moderated by the film critic and anthropologist, Seham Abd al-Salam.
“Take off from the Sand” is directed by Wagih George and debuted in 1996. In 60 minutes, the movie traces the life of Lotfia Elnadi, the first Egyptian woman pilot.
