The Women and Memory Forum (WMF) published the first volume in the series Feminist Translation in the Social Sciences and Humanities, under the title Towards Studying Gender in the Political Sciences, edited by Mervat Hatem, and translated by Shohrat El-Alem.
The publication encompasses 12 articles divided among 2 sections. The first section presents critical viewpoints towards the study of women and gender in the U.S. political sciences, and the second section explores the study of women and gender in Middle Eastern political sciences, with a comparative outlook to the national, regional, and international contexts.
The publication of Towards Studying Gender in the Political Sciences is part of the WMF project Feminist Translations through which the Women and Memory Forum aims to produce feminist knowledge in the Arabic language, and make available academic sources on feminist studies and the gender perspective.
