The Women and Memory Forum (WMF) organized a panel discussion on translating feminist literary criticism, featuring a discussion between Dr. Hala Kamal and Dr. Faten Morsi, moderated by Dr. Hoda Elsadda. The event was organized as part of the WMF’s collaboration with the

American University in Cairo (AUC), and was held on Tuesday 15 December 2017, at the AUC Tahrir Campus in Cairo.

During the discussion, Dr. Hala Kamal presented the challenges she faced while translating the book Feminism and Feminist Literary Criticism[1] published by the WMF in 2015. The panel also discussed the strategies used by translators when translating feminist texts in general, and feminist literary criticism in particular.
