WMF Organizes an Intensive Course on “Oral History Research Methodologies from a Gendered Perspective” in Collaboration with the American University in Cairo

The Women and Memory Forum (WMF) organized an intensive course on “Oral History Research Methodologies from a Gendered Perspective” as part of the collaboration between the WMF and the American University in Cairo (AUC). The course was held in the period from 8 to 9 April 2019, from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM, at the Golden Tulip Flamenco Hotel in Zamalek, Cairo. The course aimed to train scholars interested in women’s and gender issues on using feminist research methodologies and the methods of oral historiography, in addition to reading and interpreting oral narratives. During the course, participants examined practical applications of oral historiography, and engaged in lectures and discussion groups to exchange ideas and share their different experiences.
