WMF Organizes the Seminar “People of the City”

The Women and Memory Forum (WMF) hosted the urban researcher, Omnia Khalil, to deliver the seminar “People of the City: Power Relations, Labor, and Space in Ramlet Bulaq.” The seminar was held on May 12, 2014. During the seminar, Omnia Khalil explained the concept of participatory development of urban deprived areas, commonly referred to as slums. Khalil discussed her deep study of the Ramlet Bulaq area, for which she obtained her master’s degree, and shared her concept and policy of participatory development.
