The Women and Memory Forum (WMF) organized a panel discussion of Women and Gender: Eradicating Gender-Based Cultural and Social Discrimination by Dr. Omaima Abu-Bakr and Dr. Shereen Shoukry. The discussion was held on 7 March 2004, and the panel featured the book’s co-author Dr. Omaima Abu-Bakr, in addition to Dr. Nadia Abd al-Wahab and Gamal al-Banna.
