Mervat Nasser delivered a lecture on “Women in Ancient Egyptian Civilization”. Nasser is Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. Areas of her research include ancient Egyptian history, socio-psychology, and women’s psychology. She is author of Culture and Weight Consciousness (1997), as well as her recently published Illustrated Children’s Encyclopedia of Ancient Egyptian Civilization. The talk was accompanied by a slide show with pictures and illustrations.
