WMF Celebrates Launching Its Feminist Oral History Project ‘Documenting the Experiences of Women Entrepreneurs’

The Women and Memory Forum (WMF) celebrated the launch of Documenting the Experiences of Women Entrepreneurs,[1] marking the WMF’s most recent feminist oral history project. The celebration was held at the Swiss Club in Cairo on Saturday 21 January at 12:00 PM.

The Women Entrepreneurs Project[2] is part of the WMF’s Women’s Oral History Archive[3], which is an archive of women’s voices that unveils the lives of Egyptian women through their self-narrated life experiences with the aim of empowering women via storytelling. “Documenting the Experiences of Women Entrepreneurs” encompasses the experiences of Egyptian women in various sectors and from diverse social backgrounds. This project revealed the multiple facets of being a woman entrepreneur in Egypt, the excellence of these women in the field of business entrepreneurship, and the challenges they faced and overcame in their journeys.
