As part of its project “Lost Stories,” al-Madina hosted Dr. Hoda Elsadda, the cofounder of the Women and Memory Forum (WMF) and the woman behind an inspiring and significant initiative. For years, the WMF has been committed to establishing the first integrated feminist archive and to give attention to the archive amidst all the other great concerns in society. Feminism and feminist archives discover the powers born from within societies and civilizations. Through the archive, we discover the power of the story and explore women’s long and broad journey of struggle, with all its complexities and contradictions.
